Chevron barracuda. Huge school of chevron barracuda (Sphyraena sp.) in a cylindrical shape silhouetted against the Sun. These are gregarious fish which inhabit tropical seas in the western Pacific and Indian Oceans. They may reach a length of over a metre,and are fast and voracious predators. Their main prey is other fish,although squid are also taken. They are known to congregate in schools of thousands of individuals.
