It has seven pairs of legs,and its compound eyes (red) can be seen behind its antennae. It has a segmented body,which it can roll into a ball when threatened. Woodlice are found throughout the world in moist and dark environments,such as in leaf litter and beneath rocks and logs. They eat decaying plant and animal matter.
