It is an aerodynamically unstable aircraft that is flown by a computerised flight control system. This allows great agility and a great degree of automation. Its two Eurojet EJ200 turbofan engines fly it at speeds of up to Mach 2. It is designed for many different weapons configurations. The Eurofighter is a joint project between the UK,Germany,Italy,and Spain. It began in 1994. The first Eurofighter Typhoons will enter service in 2003. Photographed in 2000 | |
