MODEL RELEASED. GEODISE computer-aided design. Researcher using GEODISE utilities during the design of an aircraft. GEODISE (Grid Enabled Optimisation and Design Search for Engineering) is a project that allows the computing power of a network of supercomputers to be accessed through a portal on a standard desktop computer. Engineering problems can be fed to the supercomputers, which then work out aerodynamics and can modify designs to improve them. GEODISE is a collaboration between the Universities of Manchester,Southampton and Oxford. Photographed in 2003 | |
