Schultz and Stern. US geneticist Jack Schultz (left,1904-1971) and German-US geneticist Curt Stern (1902-1981). Both Schultz and Stern carried out research on the genetics of the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster). Schultz,who also worked in embryology,went on to work at the Institute for Cancer Research. Stern would later pioneer gene regulation and speak out against racial theories and eugenics.
