Giant Pandas (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) are endemic to China and are native to central-western and south western China, but are now found only in a few mountain ranges of central China. This young Panda is being fed in the juvenile enclosure of the Bifengxia Giant Panda Reserve base in Sichuan Province in China. With captive Panda infants being reared by humans from birth, there is a concern that these Pandas lack the knowhow to raise their offspring and it will therefore be difficult to reintroduce them into the wild with the hope of them contributing towards a growth in the wild Giant Panda population | |
