| The gilded bronze east doors of the Baptistery in Florence were designed and executed by Lorenzo Ghiberti between 1425 and 1452. Known as The Gates of Paradise,they are decorated with a sequence of ten panels depicting allegorical representations of stories from the Old Testament.
