Bristol Channel floods of 1607. 17th-century artwork of the catastrophic flooding in the area around the Bristol Channel on 30 January 1607. Thousands of people and livestock drowned in Wales,Devon,Somerset and along the Severn Estuary. The cause may have been a tsunami or a combination of a storm surge and high tides. Flooding also occurred in Norfolk.
