Seedling growing on a tree. Young plant growing out of a small crevice in the weathered trunk of a river red gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) tree. River red gum wood is very durable and resistant to rot and termites. It is widely used for stumps for housing,railway sleepers and fence posts.
