Reconstructed Australopithecus afarensis head. This is a reconstruction of the head of a 3 year old Australopithecus afarensis female made from a fossilised skull known as Selam. The skull and other bones were found in Dikika,Ethiopa in 2000. They have been dated as 3.3 million years old.
