Southern giant petrels (Macronectes giganteus) scavenging on the carcass of an Antarctic fur seal (Arctocephalus gazella). These birds display with open wings and shrill calls throughout the feeding frenzy. This large seabird is native to Antarctica and the southern hemisphere regions.
